Looking to apply to a business school? US News & World Report has just unveiled its list of the top graduate programs in logistics, financial analysis and accounting — the hottest fields for MBA grads. Here are the best schools for 2010:
1. Accounting: University of Texas-Austin, McCombs School of Business – Get some BBQ with your degree in this cool, Southern college town! McCombs educates more than 6,000 undergraduate, MBA, MPA and Ph.D. students each year, creating one of the largest cumulative impacts of any business school in the world.
2. Accounting and Finance: University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School – This Ivy earns top marks in both accounting and financial analysis.
3. Accounting and Finance: University of Chicago, Booth School of Business – This is another leader in both accounting and financial analysis. Six of their faculty members have won Nobel prizes!
4. Finance: New York University, Stern School of Business - You’ll already be in the city with some of the top business minds in the world. Stern says its four values are academic excellence, IQ +EQ, collaborative community and the energy of a global hub.
5. Supply Chain/Logistics: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management - The school has a variety of MBA programs, including a 20-month, part-time “MBA for Executives” program.
6. Supply Chain/Logistics: Michigan State University, Broad Graduate School of Management – The Broad MBA ranks No.1 in the nation for return on investment with 3.27 years to pay back, according to BusinessWeek.
7. Supply Chain/Logistics: Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business - Tepper offers a traditional MBA as well as FlexTime and FlexMode programs for working professionals.
