If you have an interest in energy policy, a brain that can store infinite amounts of information which you can recall at a moment’s notice and a four-year degree then you might be qualified for the position of Renewable Energy Policy Advisor for Southern California Edison (SCE) located in Rosemead, Calif. Undeterred by the whole “infinite” brain capacity thing, then you might just have the panache it takes to actually get this job, which requires a lot of the person who will fill it.
This job requires someone who is a leader with a background in law. As policy advisor you will analyze changes in renewable energy resources, provide policy recommendations to management draft testimony to be heard at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and manage cross-functional teams. Still with me? The policy advisor will also serve as project manager in the Renewable and Alternative Power (RAP) department of SCE (hopefully you’re good with acronyms). Southern California Edison is a ulitity company serving 14 million people in the central and southern parts of California.
Here are the basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics and/or policy
- 5+ years experience leading a team
- 7+ years experience in electric procurement-related policy
If you haven’t been scared off and still want to apply, you can do so here.
